I ran across deviantart about a week ago and I am just getting started in photography, just out of personal interest and my recent acquirement of a digital SLR.

I am guessing you are a DAAP finearts major? I am in Urban Planning here at DAAP (4th yr transfer).

Is there any kind of DAAP community on here?
